Flag Day

We had a nice time celebrating Flag Day on Friday.  We gathered on the playground with all of the kindergartners just before the assembly to share Popsicles left over from FUN Day. Kindergarten sang As the Flag Goes By just before it started pouring and we had to move the assembly inside. Check out the video of our kindergartners singing on the right.

Enjoying a good treat with good friends.

Some fun before the assembly.

Almost first graders!

FUN Day fun by Guest Bloggers Lauryn and Clara

Thanks to all of our parents who sent in donations for FUN Day. It really was a great time and we couldn't have made it happen without your support.  Here is a summary of FUN Day by Guest Bloggers Lauryn and Clara.

Powdered donuts were hanging on a string for kids to eat.

You couldn't use your hands to eat them. It was hard to stop
them from moving when you were eating them.

You were only allowed to eat two donuts...

...because we had to share with all of the classes.

We painted our nails.

We painted our fingers and toes.

Here is Autumn. We could get our face painted.

We made key chains for our backpacks. We could only put them
on our backpacks if there was an adult in the room.

Lucas L. was so good at eating doughnuts.

Lots of kids wanted their faces painted.

It was fun to have a snack in the shade with a friend.

The pools were really fun. We got soaked!

The squirters were fun too.  You can't squirt anyone in the face.

At face-painting some of us got dragons, balloons,
flowers and hearts.

The food was yummy.  The best things to eat were the
powered donuts and rice crispy treats.

We all loved FUN Day!
