I hope everyone had a wonderful break and enjoyed the holidays. Our class had so much fun leading up to vacation. A huge thank you to all of the parents who sent in treats and donated supplies. It really is a magical time in kindergarten.
Our class loved (and is still using!) the holiday bakery. The items sent in from home were a big hit! We practiced "talking" on the phone, taking and filling orders, making creations and serving peers.

The class works to fill a big order the morning we learned how to use the bakery. |
Always lots of teamwork in kindergarten! |
We continue to work in learning centers each day. Learning centers give kindergartners a chance to work together and make independent choices about their learning. It is so fun to watch their level of independence grow as they are feeling more and more confident within the classroom!

Natalie, Carly, Marin and Tatum create in the writing center. |
Anna and Autumn work on an activity designed to help everyone follow multi-step directions. |
Denver, Matthew and Charlie love to create! |
Another big thanks to everyone for sending in books for the book swap. There was so much excitement surrounding giving books to each other.
We love books! |
Thanks kindergarten families! |

Our kindergartners did a great job at the holiday concert. In case you missed our performance, each song can be found on the right sidebar of the blog.
